Living with the Metro

I pick up the Metro every morning, like I’m sure most of you readers do to on your commute to work. And every morning I wonder why I did that. There is always something in there that makes me want to deeply sigh at the concern of the mental state that society is heading.

The more studying I’ve done in my lifetime (which is not that long), the more I have realised just how little I know. Simple things and concepts only become clear once someone has pointed them out. My first topic of concern is the obvious feeling that comes into everyone’s mind when the word abortion is said. Now, whether that feeling remains to form your opinion or washes away by indifference or guilt of having done the deed yourself is the point I’m trying to get to. Don’t your think that everyone’s initial feeling about this is the same? I do. Murder. Really, just for one minute, think about what was published in the paper yesterday about the woman throwing a baby boy out of the post-natal depression unit of the hospital. Wouldn’t you say that would be murder if that boy dies from the throw? Now, what, I may ask, is the difference (soul wise) of that boy of a few weeks and the abortion of a 3 week old foetus?
